Sherry Tucker

Communications, Community Engagement and Government Relations

Ms. Tucker advances the acquisition and development of carbon management projects at CapturePoint, guiding public communications and directing community engagement and governmental relations.

Ms. Tucker has extensive experience in permitting, government approvals, legislative and community relations support for emerging clean energy technologies, enhanced oil recovery and other energy, environmental and real estate development projects.

She was previously a partner at McGuire Woods LLP, served as Assistant General Counsel in the U.S. Department of Energy, and as the Assistant Attorney General for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

Ms. Tucker is currently a member of the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) Carbon Dioxide Capture, Utilization, and Sequestration Federal Lands and Outer Continental Shelf Permitting Task Force. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and her A.B. from Mount Holyoke College.
